![]() ![]() Well, still don't know how to downgrade, especially because I changed my security backup and temp & transcoder folders to another unit through the registry method for Windows installations, because it was consuming a lot of GB in my little OS SSD drive, but I found that The Videohelp site has a page inside their website that keeps more tha 180 versions of old installers, even back to 2016 versions. I've had setups where just the media is on the main PC and Plex is elsewhere for when things like that happen, I already have an older version of PMS setup and just have to fix permissions for the users as like a temp quick fix so mum can watch her Boston legal DVDs or whatever the case I still do have implementations of PMS on Linux boxes but I can't manage to keep them plugged in and powered up 24/7. But yeah it was a huge pain in the dick twice now. Not to mention it's the only device capable of doing all the transcoding and stuff and handling a few viewers. It runs a lot better on Linux but have to keep the rig on windows for the occasional game and FL studio. If it works don't fuck with it! Especially updates. ![]() I really hate windows and since Plex is kind of the centerpiece of my multi faceted server box I had to say fuck it and just reinstall. Plex makes too many places to hide data so when you do a complete uninstall like how they say and try to reinstall it still says that you don't have it installed. Not 100% sure but the way Plex installs itself it's like almost impossible to clear that message without a new registry.
